Formaer shoeracks are fabricated using the following materials and hardware:

• Premium, precision-cut 18mm pre-laminated MFC panels 
• Solid ¾” ⌀ hardwood dowels that are either left natural in the Pure Oak finish or stained with Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C colour coating
• 8mm ⌀ x40mm click-in-place permanent dowel connectors 

All MFC panels are edge-banded, labelled, and flat-packed with assembly instructions and protection materials included.

At Formaer, we take pride in delivering high-quality, custom-made furniture. Due to the bespoke nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges unless the item is faulty or damaged upon delivery.

If your order arrives damaged or defective, please please contact us at info@formaer.co.uk within 48 hours of receiving the item. To process your claim, we require clear photos and a detailed description of the issue. 

Because each Formaer piece is designed just for you, we are not able to offer refunds. If your item arrives damaged or incorrect however, we’ll replace it free of charge.

Formaer is not responsible for damages caused by improper assembly, misuse, or general wear and tear. Please follow instructions for assembly and after care included with your furniture carefully.

What makes Formaer unique?

Our 3D configurator allows our users to make unique design that suits their personality and transforms their designs into high quality, one-off furniture pieces. Every design produced by Formaer is manufactured locally through Formaer's decentralised production model. We partner with digital fabrication labs across the UK, so that not only can we manufacture your furniture as close as possible to you but also so we can support local businesses and strengthen local economies.

How do I use the 3D configurator?

By moving the sliders or typing in your required dimensions in the height, width and depth parameters, you will instantly see the changes in the 3D viewer in real time. The configurator uses a metric system so please note all measurements inserted should be in centimetres. If you want to see your design in your space, press the 'View in AR' button and use your device to visualise how the furniture will look in your room.

Are there any design limitations for customisation?

Thanks to our advanced algorithms, anything is possible within our size range and material range. There are on average around 12,500,000 variations that can be achieved with every furniture design, so there is plenty of room for your unique piece that matches your space perfectly.

How does Formaer use technology in its furniture design?

Our 3D configurator makes it easy for everyone to pick a design they like and change its dimensions and finishes to suit their homes. Once the order has been made, Formaer's AI powered back end technology produces all the files and drawings required for manufacturing. The production of the files for digital fabrication is completely automated to allow for a seamless, error-free process that ensures high quality, precision furniture at your doorstep.

Where does Formaer deliver to?

Formaer is currently only available for use exclusively in the UK. Please use the postcode checker on our home page to check availability of our service in your area, as we are still working on expanding our network of manufacturing partners. For areas yet to be covered by Formaer, we would encourage you to get in touch directly with us to proceed with your order.

What payment methods are accepted?

All major credit cards are accepted, including American Express. For convenience, you can also use Apple Pay and Google Pay on your devices.

Can I change my order after placing it?

Unfortunately that is not possible. Your order will be completely bespoke to you and therefore cannot be sold to someone else after you have placed the order. We would recommend that you please ensure the dimensions for your custom furniture are accurately measured for the space it has been designed for, and have also been accurately inserted in the configurator before finalising your order.

Does Formaer furniture come pre-assembled?

Your Formaer furniture will be digitally fabricated as flat packed, in order to facilitate transport and handling. Alongside the flat packed panels, every customer also receives custom assembly instructions tailored for their furniture to ensure they can assembly it easily.  Our unique 'click-in-place' system allows you to assemble your furniture in just a few minutes without using any tools, glue or screws.
